Developed in response to Planetary Publishing, 'if you could be somewhere' is a modern-day reissue of 9 Eyes of Google Street View by Jon Rafman, trading his curated screenshots for recursive conversations with an LLM. Where Rafman turned the surveillance camera outward onto the street, this project turns the gaze inward, making AI itself the subject of inquiry.
