A single night of guard duty on Pulau Tekong unravels into something inexplicable.

Perimeter is an animated short based on a true story from my time doing National Service in Singapore. Drawing on Singapore's rich tradition of military folklore and ghost stories, animation becomes the tool for rebuilding that feeling of being swallowed whole by jungle – the darkness and stillness, and a very specific dread. Perimeter explores how fear works best when nothing is shown, only felt.
